Not that I'm perfect or think I'm better than anyone else.

Mark,

Thanks. I agree with Maxwell and after I finish reading Visioneering by Andy Stanley, I need to read some of Maxwell's books.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10597545408348167623noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5106689659668378141.post-54744308043859519872010-08-27T19:29:19.006-04:002010-08-27T19:29:19.006-04:00Great post, Jack! He was asked to write a book on "Business Ethics" and he said there's no such thing. There's just Ethics, and if you have them, they apply in business and in life.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5106689659668378141.post-49837247409291882402010-08-10T00:21:48.488-04:002010-08-10T00:21:48.488-04:00"I value my word and my reputation"

I'd like to think I'd choose an organization, and in my current situation I think I have, that has the same values as I do.

I know that not all organizations have those values. I've worked for some of them as well. You are a commodity not an asset and those aren't places I'd stay for long. As a matter of fact I turned down a job at a place like that when I was unemployed.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10597545408348167623noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5106689659668378141.post-41626772178831406662010-07-30T11:59:49.977-04:002010-07-30T11:59:49.977-04:00Nice presentation Jack. But if one hasn't given their word, they have to keep in mind that the very nature of organizations often negates organizational honor, and if necessary, even contracts will be terminated.

That is what we, as humans do. We need to be clear that we cannot expect an organization to have the same ethic. Then act accordingly.Arnie Rowlandhttp://sqlblog.com/blogs/arnie_rowlandnoreply@blogger.com
