So I decided to see if there were any other funny ones. I only find one more, neo, which puts this in:
-- I know Kung-Fu.If this was, "I know aikido", then there are few SQL Guru's it would apply to. Gail Shaw, Grant Fritchey, and Steve Jones.
I love when I find little things like this. They make life interesting.
I like programmers with a sense of humour.
ReplyDeleteI don't think Grant does Aikido. Can't recall offhand what style he does.
You missed one. Kalen Delaney holds a shodan (black belt) grade in Aikido
Apparently I just can't keep up.
ReplyDeleteI knew there was a third SQL Guru who did Aikido and I thought it was Grant. Thanks for the correction. Maybe Grant will let us know which one he does.
Thank goodness it's not the end of the world.
Good stuff. We're getting the Red Gate this quarter (finally) and I'm sure I'll have to toy around with this 'function'.
ReplyDeleteNope. Not me. I don't know aikido at all. I study kenpo but it's at a pretty wild school. We use what works and don't stick to any particular style.
ReplyDeleteHowever, I really admire aikido and I'm fascinated with it which is why it keeps coming up in conversations with Gail.
BTW, I have to do a demo of SQLPrompt for Red Gate (our VERY kind sponsors for this month's SNESSUG meeting) and I'll have to remember this. I've seen it before, but i keep forgetting it's there.
